Global Operations Support Engineer (Unix/Solaris)
A career opportunity to become a part of Global Operations Support and Implementation team. You will play an important role to keep our critical Foreign Exchange (FX) service stable in this complex world.
About our FX Technology Operations:
- > 37% Market share – World’s largest Foreign Exchange Trading platforms
- > $350 Billion FX Average Daily Volumes
- > 2,500 world-class IT devices from HP, Cisco, Arista, F5, Solace, Net App, Oracle Exadata and etc. in multi-location data-centres e.g., London, Tokyo, Geneva, New York, New Jersey, Singapore, Hong Kong
- < 40 microsecond latency enabling 1.6 million transactional messages per second using cutting-edge networking technology (Solace messaging system)
A person in this role will have a chance to:
- Provide highly skilled technical support of day to day issues concerning hardware, OS, application, storage and network encountered with the Transactions service group in multiple global Data Centres.
- Manage complex problems, lead initiatives for driving down incident rates and working with 1st line operations to improve service recovery times.
- Work closely with 3rd line Development and other Operations teams in all global regions.
Who are we looking for?
A challenge seeker who has
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
- At least 5 years’ experience of Unix, Linux
- Good working knowledge of networking and up to Cisco CCNA level
- Flexibility to work on weekend and cover critical issue that might occur beyond our schedule
