Satya Sharma
IBM Fellow and Chief Technology Officer, Cognitive Systems

Satya Sharma is an IBM Fellow and Chief Technology Officer, Cognitive Systems. In this role, he drives Power Systems Strategic Priorities and Roadmap to deliver client value and differentiate Power systems in the marketplace. He also drives the Power Stack technical roadmap by collaborating with ISVs.

Satya collaborates with clients extensively at the CIO/CTO level, at an architect level, and in a structured fashion as a Chairperson of Technical Collaboration Council (TCC) – a customer body designed for collaboration with clients to develop the Power Systems community and to provide extensive product feedback to IBM.

Satya has been associated with Power Systems Development since 1993 in different roles. Satya has been instrumental in driving Power Systems innovation in key technology areas:

• Cognitive / AI / Machine Learning / Deep Learning Infrastructure
• POWER8 / POWER9 Systems
• Power expansion into Linux on Power
• Open stack based Power Cloud and Virtualization Management
• Scale-out and Scale-up systems
• Virtualization: PowerVM and KVM on Power

For Satya’s 25+ years of contributions to the IBM Company, he was appointed as one of only 278 IBM Fellows (in IBM’s history), 98 of which are currently active employees within IBM’s global technical community of more than 200,000 people.

 

Satheesh Kumar
Global Vice President, IBM Services Platform with Watson

Satheesh Kumar is currently the Global Vice President for IBM Services Platform with Watson. He leads offering management and development, driving value solutions to help clients with their digital transformation and journey to cloud. In his most recent role, Satheesh led IBM Cloud Development and Client Services for IBM Watson and the cloud platform. He was responsible for private cloud development and worldwide delivery to clients. He worked across offerings, architecture, development and delivery teams to deliver differentiated capabilities to serve client needs. Satheesh has led many initiatives across IBM to deliver products, services and solutions to clients, and has held roles in strategy, offerings, architecture, development and delivery.

 

Richard Wilkins
Chief Technology Officer, ASEAN, IBM Corporation

Richard Wilkins as appointed as an IBM Distinguished Engineer in recognition of his extensive track record in leading technical challenging, first of a kind, IT Service Management projects. Richard has an extensive record as a senior technical leader in Asia/Pacific, and globally recognised as a vital resource for innovative IBM Cloud and Smarter Infrastructure solutions and deployments.

Richard is a member of the CTO office for IBM Client Adoption, Technical Enablement. He is providing leadership and mentoring by developing and then delivering IBM Cloud Business strategies across the globe. He will also be responsible for developing and fostering technical vitality across Asia Pacific Geography.

Richard joined IBM in 1989 as an Associate Customer Service Representative for End User Systems. He held various positions throughout his career with IBM, including founding member and leader architect of the Tivoli Asia Pacific Centre Of Excellence. He has more than twenty years of experience in enterprise systems and service management.
